1. Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Chat Exporter Pro, its website and related licensing and support services handle information. It applies to the public website, interactive demo, Chrome extension, payment verification and support communications.
2. Chat content and export files
Supported chat scanning and export functions are designed to run locally inside the user’s browser. Conversation text and exported files are not intended to be uploaded to Chat Exporter Pro servers. Exported PDF, CSV and ZIP files remain on the device or storage location chosen by the user.
Users are responsible for protecting downloaded files and for exporting only conversations they are legally authorized to access.
3. Extension permissions and browser storage
The extension may use Chrome permissions necessary to detect supported pages, read the visible chat structure, create downloads and store settings. It may save license status, preferences, scan progress, temporary cache or other operational data in local browser storage. Clearing browser data or removing the extension may delete this locally stored information.
4. Website information and server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider may process basic technical logs such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, access time and security events. These logs are used for website availability, troubleshooting, abuse prevention and security.
5. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand website traffic and interactions, including pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser information, referral source and selected button clicks. Analytics is used to improve the website and measure marketing performance. Google Analytics does not receive the content of chats exported through the extension.
6. Purchases, payments and licensing
Payments are completed through an external payment provider. The payment provider handles financial credentials under its own terms and privacy policy. Chat Exporter Pro may receive or request limited information needed to verify payment and activate a license, such as transaction ID, payment status, purchaser contact details and activation information.
7. Support communications
When users contact us through email or WhatsApp, we receive the information they voluntarily provide. For troubleshooting, send only the minimum details required. Remove or cover private messages, names, account details and confidential files before sending screenshots or recordings.
8. Interactive demo
The website demo uses fictional sample conversations. Demo exports are generated from sample data and do not access a visitor’s Facebook, WhatsApp, ChatGPT or Gemini account.
9. Third-party websites and services
The website may link to Google Chrome Web Store, YouTube, WhatsApp, EPS and other independent services. Those providers control their own data practices. Opening an external link is subject to that provider’s terms and privacy policy.
10. Data retention
Licensing, transaction verification and support records may be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide access, respond to requests, prevent fraud, maintain business records and meet applicable obligations. Conversation export content is not intended to be retained by us.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures for the website and support workflow. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Users should store exports carefully and avoid sharing private backups through insecure channels.
12. Children’s privacy
Chat Exporter Pro is not specifically directed to children. A parent, guardian or institution should supervise use where required by applicable law or platform rules.
13. Your choices and requests
You may contact us to ask about licensing or support information associated with you, or to request correction or deletion where applicable and technically possible. Some transaction or business records may need to be retained for legitimate or legal purposes.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the product, website, analytics, payment process or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
