One source set can produce several deliverables: a client copy, an internal copy, a short extract and a full appendix. Multiple output cards let you define those files in the same workspace.
Plan each output as a separate deliverable
Create one output card per finished PDF. Give each one a clear purpose before selecting pages, such as “summary,” “invoice pages,” or “appendix.”
This prevents one giant PDF from becoming the default answer to every sharing need.
Reuse uploaded files instead of uploading them repeatedly
Once the source PDFs are in the workspace, different output cards can draw from the same files. A page used in one output can be reused in another when needed.
That makes the workflow useful for preparing several versions from one master archive.
Why multiple outputs become a ZIP
When several PDFs are generated together, packaging them into a ZIP keeps the browser download manageable and groups the related outputs. A single output remains a PDF.
After download, extract the ZIP and check every generated PDF before distributing the files.
Avoid duplicate generation
Repeated Generate clicks can happen when a large document takes time. The workspace includes deduplication behavior to reduce duplicate finished files, but it is still good practice to wait for the current generation status before clicking again.
Quick workflow
- Open PDF Studio and add the source files.
- Preview the page positions and choose the exact tool or page range you need.
- Build the output, review the order and generate the PDF or ZIP.
- Open the downloaded result and verify it before deleting the temporary workspace.
